I am Alex, an avid traveler and serious foodie who is tuned into the island lifestyle, culture and habits. I like to think of myself as an island boy, even though I was born an ocean away.
I was born in France in 1983 and grew up in the heart of a baker’s family in the suburbs of Paris. Baking and cooking are really my family’s thing. My great granddad was a baker back in 1930s and we have followed in this footsteps!
Based in Sint Maarten since 2010, I spent over a decade as the chief baker and manager of a well-known bakery in Simpson Bay.
Completing that journey, I took my time to create my own dream of a bakery and restaurant to continue my family tradition in the Caribbean. And, Le Café by Alex was born!

We pride ourselves in offering our customers a unique and personalized dining experience with the best of French pastries and cuisine found in this part of the Caribbean.
We only use high quality and fine gourmet ingredients and products and follow high-level culinary processes to prepare our dishes, all while maintaining a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere.
At Le Café, you can enjoy the finest French baked goods, breakfast, lunch, and a selection of staple and creative desserts, all prepared in our kitchen by our expert chefs and highly trained staff.
